Kollmorgen to exhibit at ProFood Tech 2017

This year Kollmorgen will be at booth 2840 at ProFood Tech, from 4th-6th April at McCormick Place in Chicago, and are offering visitors the chance to learn more about its motion solutions for food and beverage manufacturers.

Kollmorgen will also be sharing the results of a recent study conducted by the Virginia Tech Department of Food Science and Technology. The study evaluated whether following industry hygienic design guidelines improved sanitation effectiveness.

The results are available in a new white paper: ‘Scientifically Hygienic: Improving Machinery Design Through Improved Component Design. In addition to obtaining a free copy of the paper, Kollmorgen personnel involved in the study will be available for discussion.

“We are excited to share the results of our study with Virginia Tech. We looked at how hygienic design at the component level effected the sanitisability of the entire machine,” said Bill Sutton, Market Development Manager at Kollmorgen. “The results will be interesting to any company focused on reducing contamination risk and the cost of additional cleaning and sanitising time.”

Kollmorgen will also be demonstrating the AKMH Hygienic Servo Motor. The AKMH was developed based on research that included input from over 100 food processing companies. The AKMH delivers ultimate cleanability and reliability in even the toughest wash-down environments.
