At this year’s Tip-Ex exhibition in Harrogate the JOST stand stood out in particular with the most complete range of components and accessories for tipping and commercial vehicles yet. The JOST World consists of a number of unified brands including JOST, ROCKINGER, TRIDEC and EDBRO. As usual JOST exhibited on two stands: the indoor displaying a range of components and the outdoor showing several customer vehicles and hosting the traditional Edbro BBQ.
Edbro tipping cylinders are well established as market leaders for tipping cylinders, including front end and underfloor systems to suit 7.5 to 90 tonne payloads. The brand, who’s manufacturing site is located in Bolton, has been producing hydraulic tipping cylinders since its founder, Maurice Edwards, developed the first ever hoist to be powered by a truck engine. It is now a global supplier with the capabilities to manufacture the lightest, strongest and fastest cylinders on the market.
As part of the JOST Group, Edbro is well supported by many other leading brands. This means that customers are able to rely on a single point of contact to source reliable, proven components including wet kits, fifth wheel couplings, landing legs, towing hitches, steering and suspension systems as well as complete axle systems. As a ‘one-stop-shop’, JOST sales engineers are able to work vehicle owners, fleet managers and body builders to specify complete solutions which are suitable for almost any cargo type.
Danny Broomfield, JOST UK Sales Director, explained: “Each of the brands in the JOST Group have a long history of expertise within their chosen product group. They are proven market leaders with high quality manufacturing, distribution and support networks. Tip-Ex presented us with the ideal platform to exhibit all the brands together under one roof, including JOST Axle Systems – formerly Mercedes-Benz TrailerAxleSystems.”
As always the show was well attended and the JOST stand proved extremely popular – particularly the legendary Edbro BBQ
