Jane Lansing, Emerson Process Management’s vice president of marketing, will deliver a keynote address at the ISA Marketing and Sales Summit, 15–17 August 2012, at the Driskill Hotel in Austin, Texas, USA. Lansing will share her insights during a keynote presentation on Thursday, 16 August, at 8:30 a.m.

“We are thrilled to have a dynamic, experienced marketer of Jane’s stature giving our keynote address at this year’s event,” said Shari Worthington, president of Telesian Technology, Inc. and ISA Marketing and Sales Summit program chair. “As the only conference that addresses critical marketing and sales issues in automation, we’re focused on bringing real-world success stories to our attendees. Jane’s wealth of experience at Emerson will make for a relevant, insightful keynote.”

The 7th Annual ISA Marketing and Sales Summit, sponsored by the ISA Management Division, helps marketing and sales executives in automation meet today’s strategic and tactical challenges. With a focus on customer engagement, the summit provides research, best practices and new ideas through workshops, panel discussions and tutorials. Sales-focused presentations will explore best practices in adapting organizations to the speed of interaction on social networks, navigating the sales cloud, influencing customer perceptions and maintaining flexibility in sales negotiations. Marketing-focused sessions will cover mobile applications, advertising trends, search optimization, pay-per-click programs and more.

Attendees will network with peers and recognized experts, discover how to increase sales and marketing ROI and return to the office with practical ideas and execution strategies. The event kicks off on Wednesday, 15 August, with a facility tour at TECO/Westinghouse Wind Turbines at 10:00 a.m. At 1:00 p.m., attendees will join one of two pre-summit workshops: “How Not to Suck at Social Media,” presented by Jon DiPietro, principal, DomesticatingIT; or “Solution Selling,” presented by Solutions Insights. Exhibits, a networking reception and an opening keynote session round out the first day of the conference.

Thursday’s activities include Lansing’s keynote address, networking receptions and break-out sessions focused on top trends and challenges in automation marketing and sales. A lunch plenary session features “Best Practices from the Social Trenches,” a panel discussion moderated by Jim Cahill, chief blogger and community leader of social media at Emerson Process Management. An evening group event will feature a fireside chat with industry legend Dick Morley. Morley has been known as the father of the programmable logic controller since he was involved with the production of the first PLC for General Motors.

Friday, 17 August, brings a distribution roundtable, led by Walt Boyes, principal at Spitzer & Boyes, additional break-out sessions and an innovative marketing and sales “Speed Dating” Q&A session. Attendees will rotate through three focused sessions with opportunities to network and discuss social media, sales and the voice of the customer. Dick Morley will deliver a lunch keynote address; followed by the conference closing at 2:00 p.m.
