Briggs Equipment makes its debut at Offshore Europe 2015

Materials handling specialist Briggs Equipment is to exhibit for the first time at SPE Offshore Europe 2015. On stand 3C106 in Hall 3 it will partner with Pyroban UK, showcasing the two companies' ability to develop bespoke materials handling solutions for a variety of hazardous environments where there is an application need.

SPE Offshore Europe is widely acknowledged as the biggest oil exploration and production event outside North America. The global conference and exhibition takes place at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on September 8-11.

Briggs Equipment has extensive knowledge of the oil and gas sector, having developed important alliances with blue chip companies including ASCO, GE Oil & Gas, BP, Expro North Sea, Technip and One SubSea. It is seizing the opportunity to outline its complete materials handling package for warehouses, pipe yards, port operations and offshore handling requirements.

The company's broad product offering, which ranges from small power pallet trucks to 50 tonne container handling machines, is complemented by a comprehensive selection of quality, used equipment. Briggs will also be showcasing its successful ‘one-stop shop' approach to meeting

customer requirements.

With a regional depot in Aberdeen, Briggs Equipment can provide full servicing and maintenance support to businesses throughout North East Scotland. To meet seasonal and emergency demand, a wide range of warehousing and specialist equipment is available on a short-term hire basis. Customers can also access aftersales services such as driver training, while individually tailored finance solutions deliver added value and flexibility.

Briggs Equipment works closely with Hyster and Yale to modify forklift trucks to meet key application requirements and satisfy stringent safety guidelines. Joining forces with Pyroban UK at SPE Offshore Europe 2015 will help reinforce both companies' understanding of the risks associated with volatile, hazardous environments, and underline their expertise. Pyroban UK will display an eye-catching model on the stand and representatives will be on hand to answer any technical queries regarding flame proofing and compliance with mandatory ATEX Directives.

Joe Moir, Regional Sales Director - Scotland at Briggs Equipment, said: "SPE Offshore Europe provides the perfect platform for us to highlight our capabilities in the oil and gas sector.

"We look forward to talking to warehouse and logistics managers, facilities managers and procurement teams about the materials handling challenges they are facing and discussing how we can support them with cost-effective, customised solutions and flexible funding through BE Finance."

Around 1,500 exhibitors are expected to attend SPE Offshore Europe 2015, with products and services covering the entire gas and oil exploration and production value chain. The conference keynote programme will see senior industry figures and government representatives debate current issues and critical future trends. There will also be 75 technical presentations, breakfast briefings and networking lunches, UKTI country briefings and an investment workshop.
