IMHX 2019 was ‘business as usual’ for Briggs Equipment, which showcased how its services and equipment support a wide range of industry customers every day across the UK and Ireland. One product which drew a lot of interest at the show was the new JCB electric mini digger. It was shown mounted on a trailer, demonstrating how easy it is for utility companies, for example, to have a complete digger solution that can be transported easily.

Asset management and engineering services specialist, Briggs Equipment, has won another important contract with world renowned Highland distillery, The Glenmorangie Company. The firm's latest order comprises six Hyster four-wheel electric counterbalance forklift trucks, ranging in size from 1.6-3 tonnes, a 2.0S ride on pallet truck and a JLG 1930ES scissor lift. Briggs is supplying all of the machines on a five year contract hire basis, including full servicing and maintenance support, which will be provided by engineers based at its Cumbernauld depot.

To comply with safety regulations, businesses whose employees routinely work at height appreciate that they must use appropriate access equipment, yet those undertaking only occasional or seasonal activities may be unclear about their responsibilities. Briggs Equipment has therefore come up with ten tips to help businesses hire the most appropriate aerial access machines, also known as Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWPs), to maintain a safe environment for their workforce.

A further investment has been announced by Pentalver in its materials handling resources after concluding a new £5m deal with asset management specialist Briggs Equipment. Pentalver is adding 19 new Hyster machines to its fleet following a detailed tender process involving an in-depth assessment of the marketplace and potential suppliers.

Importantly, any company which obtains the standard is deemed to take cybersecurity seriously, with a positive outcome in terms of its reputation.

With Briggs Equipment updating its equipment fleet, manufacturer of touring caravans, motorhomes and holiday homes, Swift Group has been able to improve its materials handling capabilities. The company has taken delivery of 20 Hyster counterbalanced forklift trucks plus a CombiLift sideloader and six Kaup rotators. This mix of machines offers a degree of flexibility and an improvement in productivity that will help to accommodate the company's changing business needs.

Operational efficiencies are being boost by Freightliner across its 13 inland rail sites with a new fleet of ten Hyster reachstackers, supplied and maintained by Briggs Equipment. The company currently operates Hyster equipment, supplied by Briggs, and this new £3.5m deal sees the company replacing some of its older machines.

Reinforcing its credentials in the automotive sector is Briggs Equipment, as a major sponsor of this year’s North East Automotive Expo. Taking place at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on 22nd September, the Expo is the only event focused solely on supporting the innovative and growing automotive sector in the North East.

Raising over £120,000, a team supported by Briggs Defence, for SSAFA, the Armed forces charity, took part in a 3,000 mile charity drive across Europe. The specialist defence division of engineering services, asset management and equipment supply company Briggs Equipment was a key sponsor of the biennial charity event, Rally for Heroes.

Briggs Equipment is helping The Brock Metal Company, a specialist manufacturer of zinc alloys, to improve its environmental performance by switching its materials handling fleet from diesel to electric.

A new event dedicated to promoting and meeting the needs of the thriving automotive industry in the North East of England is to receive support from leading materials handling specialist Briggs Equipment.

Materials handling specialist Briggs Equipment is to exhibit for the first time at SPE Offshore Europe 2015. On stand 3C106 in Hall 3 it will partner with Pyroban UK, showcasing the two companies' ability to develop bespoke materials handling solutions for a variety of hazardous environments where there is an application need.

The topic will be ‘big trucks' when Briggs Equipment attends this year's Multimodal exhibition at Birmingham's NEC (April 28-30) to promote Hyster equipment for port centric operations.

JDR Cables Systems has turned to Briggs Equipment for a bespoke handling solution when it needed a diverse range of materials handling equipment. JDR Cables Systems has been supplied with a mixed fleet of 12 machines including four Yale VX25 diesel counterbalance trucks and a series of other equipment ranging from five tonnes to 40 tonnes.

The very latest innovations in warehouse equipment will be on display at the NEC as part of Briggs Equipment's showing at IMHX 2013. Visitors to the Briggs/Yale stand in Hall 20 will be able to take a closer look at its state-of-the-art equipment, ranging in size from small pallet trucks and tow tractors to reach trucks and VNA machines.

Solutions for demanding applications and the adoption of new technology are just two of the topics that will feature in a series of seminars led by leading materials handling supplier, Briggs Equipment at IMHX 2013. Briggs is inviting exhibition visitors to take part in the seminars held on the Briggs/Hyster stand where they can also discover ways of reducing their carbon footprint whilst increasing productivity.

In response to customers needing accurate proof that power pallet trucks are set at maximum site speed limits, Briggs Equipment has developed a new speed measuring tool to give managers the reassurance they require. Heading up its development is Briggs' Technical Manager, Trevor Clifton, who explained that previously, there hasn't been much focus on measuring the accurate speed of power pallet trucks.
