IMHX 2019 was ‘business as usual’ for Briggs Equipment, which showcased how its services and equipment support a wide range of industry customers every day across the UK and Ireland. One product which drew a lot of interest at the show was the new JCB electric mini digger. It was shown mounted on a trailer, demonstrating how easy it is for utility companies, for example, to have a complete digger solution that can be transported easily.

Say 'cheers' to more success with Scotland's whisky industry
Asset management and engineering services specialist, Briggs Equipment, has won another important contract with world renowned Highland distillery, The Glenmorangie Company. The firm's latest order comprises six Hyster four-wheel electric counterbalance forklift trucks, ranging in size from 1.6-3 tonnes, a 2.0S ride on pallet truck and a JLG 1930ES scissor lift. Briggs is supplying all of the machines on a five year contract hire basis, including full servicing and maintenance support, which will be provided by engineers based at its Cumbernauld depot.

Strengthening its credentials, Briggs Equipment has gained an essential cyber security certification. All suppliers wishing to bid for central government contracts that involve the handling of personal and sensitive data or the provision of certain information and communications technology (ICT) products and services must be Cyber Essentials accredited. Importantly, any company which obtains the standard is deemed to take cybersecurity seriously, with a positive outcome in terms of its reputation.

JDR Cables Systems has turned to Briggs Equipment for a bespoke handling solution when it needed a diverse range of materials handling equipment. Briggs develops new speed measuring tool
In response to customers needing accurate proof that power pallet trucks are set at maximum site speed limits, Briggs Equipment has developed a new speed measuring tool to give managers the reassurance they require. Heading up its development is Briggs' Technical Manager, Trevor Clifton, who explained that previously, there hasn't been much focus on measuring the accurate speed of power pallet trucks.
