Hayward Tyler Ltd, the world renowned manufacturer of submersible pumps for offshore installations and deep submersible motors, principally for the oil & gas sector, is pleased to announce that VetcoGray Scandinavia, a GE Oil & Gas Business, has selected Hayward Tyler Subsea to produce a deep submersible motor for its Universal Subsea Boosting Development Project. VetcoGray has been a leading supplier of products and services to the global upstream oil and gas industry for more than a century and specialises in upstream drilling, completion and production technology for onshore, offshore and subsea oil and gas applications.
The recently awarded contract calls for Hayward Tyler to design, manufacture and deliver a
2.5 MW, 4-Pole, 6.6kV, 60Hz test motor within 18 months; after which, it will be integrated into VetcoGray's high pressure subsea pump skid, for an exhaustive programme of testing. Hayward Tyler deep submersible motors are already in use in seawater injection pumps designed for depths of up to 3,000m.
Mark Wood, Sales and Marketing Director stated: “Hayward Tyler is proud to be selected by VetcoGray and to be supplying a DSM for this exciting project. Our motor technology has advanced steadily over many years, both in technical and engineering capabilities, and the company is now seen as a forerunner for development programmes such as this one. We look forward to working with VetcoGray over the coming months.”
