Specialist electric motor and gearbox manufacturer Parvalux opened the doors of its new premises in Aston today as part of an expansion that will enable it to deliver better service and repair capabilities to over 100 established key customers across the West Midlands region.
The launch of this secure modern facility, which creates three jobs with more to follow, marks a new era in the company’s 62 year history – being both the first new premises opened outside of Bournemouth in more than 50 years and assisting it in developing growth markets.

Birmingham’s central location was a key reason for selecting the city as the location for the new premises but, as Managing Director Justin Levine explains, being located at the heart of several key industries for which the region is renowned also provides substantial business opportunities for collaboration:

“This is an exciting time for Parvalux. Thanks to these new premises we are not only looking forward to enhancing our reputation for quality products and service, we have a significant opportunity to build both our client base and exploit new markets by showcasing our innovative technologies to sectors that could benefit from using our products.”

Our standard range enables us to offer customers 15,000 standard motor-gearbox-ratio configurations, for a variety of applications – from tracking systems for renewable energy devices to laboratory centrifuges – and that’s without considering the various options available. So, we believe that the expertise that we bring to the region’s manufacturing and technology base will be a great asset.”

Greg Dickinson, Manufacturing Policy Manager for Advantage West Midlands, added: “Technical innovations from companies like Parvalux are proof that British manufacturing can compete globally. Extending into Birmingham will enable West Midlands’ manufacturers to exploit new markets by applying Parvalux technologies.

Having Parvalux in Birmingham not only brings additional expertise to the region but will help build mutually-beneficial relationships with the West Midlands’ extensive manufacturing base in sectors such as automotive, aerospace rail and medical.”

Earlier this year Parvalux was awarded the British Standards Institute’s new Certificate of Registration for Quality Management Systems – conforming to international ISO9001:2000 standards and confirming its status as a world-class supplier.
