The new motor purge/large enclosure system is the latest member of Pepperl+Fuchs’ Bebco EPS purge and pressurisation family. Pepperl+Fuchs has introduced a Bebco EPS purge and pressurisation system designed specifically for use with large motors or large enclosures in Zone 1 hazardous areas. 

INMOCO has launched a series of low voltage DC servo motors to meet the need of new and emerging applications in robotics, automated guided vehicles (AGV), medical equipment and other fields. Made in the US as an extension to Kollmorgen’s AKM2G portfolio of servo motors the new low voltage range includes 24Vdc, 48Vdc, 72Vdc and 96Vdc units as standard, with options to go up to 105Vdc. 

SPS Nuremberg represents KOLLMORGEN as a sign of complete drive solutions, including for the growing demand for collaborative robots and automated guided vehicles. The AKM2G-series servo motors were therefore also expanded for applications in the low-voltage sector. Also a topic at the three-day automation trade fair: the second-generation functional safety technology, which has found its way into the AKD2G series servo inverters.

With a number of manufacturers having dropped the availability of DC servo motors from their catalogues, designers of critical equipment in areas such as medical, military and industrial applications have had to face the prospect of rethinking their designs around an alternative motor. 

Food and pharmaceutical makers can better protect the integrity of their products using new hygienic industrial control hardware from Rockwell Automation. The new Allen-Bradley Kinetix VPH hygienic servo motors and a new stainless-steel version of the Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus 7 graphic terminal both help minimise contamination during production and ease compliance.

A new hybrid cable for SEW and Siemens motors has been developed by igus, the CF280.UL.H, which is designed for use for use in energy chains. Engineers working in intralogistics, machine tool construction or the automotive industry have the added benefit of purchasing the chainflex cable with a 36-month guarantee, either bought by the metre or supplied as a ready-to-connect readycable.

INMOCO is now offering the Simple Co-Engineering (C0-E) options on the Kollmorgen AKM2G servomotor range, so that users can order motors optimised to their applications without increased cost or lengthened lead times. Furthermore there is no minimum order quantity nor any non-recurring engineering charge. 

Toshiba Electronics Europe has released two new three-phase brushless motor controller ICs based upon InPAC, Toshiba’s original automatic phase adjustment function. This eliminates the need for phase adjustment and achieves high levels of efficiency at a wide range of motor rotation speeds.

ElectroCraft has expanded its MobilePower traction system offer with the MPW52 and MPW86. The MobilePower Wheel-Drive (MPW) features a high torque-density brushless DC motor with an integrated single-stage planetary gearbox and wheel drive assembly. 

As part of the BG series the brushless DC motors (24-48V) the BG 45, BG 65(S), BG 75 and BG 95, Dunkermotoren had a presence in the market within the 20-1100W power range for years. As part of a product partnership with Siemens, the motors are now also available in specific versions compatible with the new SIMATIC MICRO-DRIVE servo drive system.
