  A new series of stepper motors with built-on optical encoders has been introduced by EAO which aim to simplify and streamline the design of closed loop motion control systems typically found in equipment such as 3D printers and medical instrumentation.

Applied Motion Products (AMP) has released a variant of its STAC6 series microstepping drive for high performance motion control which includes an international certification for hazardous area use. Available with full support from Mclennan, the drive is aimed at machine automation applications in oil & gas, mining, printing and other industries where ATEX, IEC-Ex or UL certification is required.

A new higher continuous force, higher peak force linear voice coil motor has been added to Moticont’s series of 2.750x3.50” (69.9x88.9mm) (housing) voice coil motors. The LVCM-070-089-03 linear voice coil motor features 40.86lbs. (181.5N) continuous force and 129.1lbs. (573.4N) peak force. This clean, quiet, efficient, low inertia, high acceleration, brushless high speed linear motor has zero cogging and features high accuracy, and a high repeatability to less than1µ (0.00004”) when operated in a closed loop as a DC servo motor.
