A subcontract fabrication shop that initially operated third party CADCAM software on its recently installed TRUMPF TruLaser 3530 automated CNC laser profiling centre has since switched to TruTops Laser, TRUMPF’s proprietary co-ordinated programming and control software. The extra capability provided by the move has allowed Halifax-based Ernest Gill to push the machine to its limits and gain vital competitive edge.

Commenting at the world launch of the TRUMPF TruLaser 1030, Stephan Bundschu, the machine’s development manager said, “There is no other laser cutting machine like it on the market. It features all the benefits of TRUMPF technology at an incredible price.”

Effective, portable weld edge preparation in a single pass is a strength of the TRUMPF power tool division. The technique has been proven over 40 years and is the subject of continuing development. The introduction of two new models mark another milestone in this process as they are the first hand-held bevelling machines to be equipped with an automatic forward feed.
