This feature is particularly valuable in the processing of straight edges on long sheets. The automatic feed takes all the effort out of the task. Once the beveller has been set up it feeds itself continuously along the weld edge at an infinitely adjustable speed. This results in a superior, uniform and oxide-free edge. However at any point the auto-feed can be de-activated so that the bevelling process can continue manually.
The two TruTool TKF 1500 models both have automatic feed as a standard feature, provide bevel angles of 20° - 55° and are suitable for sheet thickness from 6 – 40mm. The only difference is that the larger of the models has a two-speed forward feed allowing it to accommodate an increased bevel length.
The automatic feed at up to 2m/min is also more energy efficient so weld edge preparation with the new TruTool TKF 1500 costs less. This cost efficiency is complemented by the ability to re-grind the cutting tool numerous times.
