A new high performance, general purpose, elastomer coupling has been introduced by Rexnord. The company says it offers 25% higher torque ratings and 40% greater stiffness than its equivalent standard elastomer coupling range.

Comparison tests to assess the fatigue strength of its 12 B-1 roller chains against those of eight competitors’ products have been conducted recently by Rexnord.

Features of Lifelign couplings include competitive pricing against equivalent duty units, superior bore capacities permitting smaller sized units to be specified against alternative units, and flexible inter-changeability with installed couplings.

Rexnord’s zinc passivation and acid resistant coatings now have a new blue lustre. This new coating replaces the former yellow chromate one to comply with new legal requirements introduced to eliminate carcinogenic coatings. As before, this new blue zinc coating is offered by Rexnord as an option on all its chains and associated attachments.
