MAPAL replaceable head tools combine precision with economy

MAPAL replaceable head tools combine precision with economy
The new high-precision CFS connection system from MAPAL, a world leader in precision machining solutions, now enables machine tool users to enjoy the substantial cost savings associated with replaceable-head tools without sacrificing accuracy or convenience. This development is particularly important in the light of the continually rising price of carbide cutting materials. Designed from the outset with ease of use in mind, the new MAPAL CFS connection guarantees a radial run-out accuracy of 5 µm or better. This means that tool holders incorporating the CFS connection can be used as the primary system for drilling and milling, as well as for reaming. In addition, replaceable head tools using the new connection achieve the same service life as monolithic tools and so significantly reduce process costs.
