“We’ve been making these awards since 2007 as part of our long-term programme to find the right partners and to work with them strategically, creatively, innovatively and in partnership,” said Hans-Georg Härter, Chairman of the Board of ZF Friedrichshafen AG. “For us, good is not good enough – we want the best of good.”
The award was received on behalf of MAPAL, which has its UK headquarters in Rugby, by Dr Dieter Kress and Dr Jochen Kress, who are both directors of the company.
“Innovations come about in our company primarily as a result of dialogue with our customers,” said Dr Jochen Kress. “Every day we set ourselves the challenge of devising new tools to make the production machining of cubic parts faster, more economical and more reliable for our customers. We are delighted that this approach, which has been part of our organisation since it was founded, has been recognised by ZF with this important and highly regarded award.”
MAPAL, like the other prize winners in these awards, was chosen using a standardised selection procedure implemented by judges from the procurement, logistics and quality areas of ZF Friedrichshafen’s operations. The winners are now entitled to use the accolade “Top Supplier to ZF Plants in Europe”.
