Gamewell-FCI by Honeywell has expanded its portfolio of emergency communications systems to include a comprehensive line of wireless and hardwired audible notification solutions for wide area (outdoor) applications. High-powered speaker and siren systems, developed by Acoustic Technology, Inc. (ATI Systems), deliver continuous tone alerts and intelligible voice announcements. NOTIFIER by Honeywell announces the Spartan-25™ addressable fire alarm control panel for protecting small-scale p roperties and controling ancillary systems such as sprinklers and elevator recall. With addressable features such as individual point identification, maintenance alerts and detector drift compensation, the Spartan-25 offers an intelligent alternative to conventional systems at virtually the same total installed expense. For added savings and flexibility, this 25-point panel can support any combination of HFS detectors and modules while operating on standard wire (unshielded or twisted-pair).

NOTIFIER by Honeywell introduces a financing program to assist facility owners with the expense of new fire/life safety systems and upgrades to existing systems mandated by code. Honeywell Power Products announces a new 12-Amp fire alarm power supply, designed for large-system installers. The HPFF12 is Honeywell's largest fire power supply, capable of powering a fire alarm's four NACs (notification appliance circuits) to full capacity. This powerful yet compact unit is ideal for installations utilizing higher-power strobes or facing limited wall space for multiple supplies. Silent Knight by Honeywell announces a new 125-watt amplifier, designed to economically simplify fire alarm voice evacuation system design. Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell has released a UL-listed fire alarm relay module with enclosure, designed to enable the control of building systems such as fans, dampers and elevators during emergencies. Gamewell-FCI by Honeywell has expanded its Flex Series of conventional products with the addition of two fire alarm releasing panels designed to offer flexible control of single and dual-hazard agent-based suppression or deluge systems. Fire-Lite Alarms has enhanced two of its most popular addressable fire alarm control panels, the MS-9200UDLS and MS-9600UDLS. Fire-Lite Alarms announces the release of IPDACT-2UD, the first fire alarm IP communications module that enables complete upload/download capabilities via any IP connection. The IPDACT-2UD is listed to UL 864 9th Edition standards as compatible with multiple new and legacy varieties of Fire-Lite alarm panels.

Gamewell-FCI has released a new mass notification solution as part of its E3 Series® line of Expandable Emergency Evacuation systems. Fire-Lite Alarms MS-9050UD addressable fire alarm system saved the historic Inn at Danbury, in Danbury, New Hampshire on the afternoon of August 15, 2008. According to local news accounts, the four-alarm fire summoned firefighters from nearly 20 area departments whom extinguished the fire that originated in the three-story barn before it reached the attached inn and restaurant.

Honeywell Power Products has created a unique power supply that eliminates the time-consuming task of locating a fire systems’ EOL resistor during retrofit installations. The FF8’s (FireForce 8) variable EOL matching feature allows a resistor to be installed on the power supply acting as a reference for all outputs. This one-of-a-kind feature stands to save fire alarm installers countless hours of searching behind numerous notification devices for the EOL resistor.

Honeywell Power Products has introduced a protective enclosure for AC plug-in transformers to help security installers avoid the all-too-common problem of accidental system shut-downs. The HPTCOVER mounts over any duplex wall receptacle and can be screwed shut to ensure the transformer remains securely affixed to the outlet.
