Gamewell-FCI by Honeywell has expanded its portfolio of emergency communications systems to include a comprehensive line of wireless and hardwired audible notification solutions for wide area (outdoor) applications. High-powered speaker and siren systems, developed by Acoustic Technology, Inc. (ATI Systems), deliver continuous tone alerts and intelligible voice announcements. Integration of ATI wide area systems with Gamewell-FCI's portfolio of in-building fire alarm and emergency communications systems creates a comprehensive, cost-effective MNS (mass notification systems) solution for virtually any facility or property.

Designed to site-specific requirements, Gamewell-FCI's new wide area systems can provide fast, supervised communications over a choice of hardwired media or wireless technologies, including radio frequency, IP-Ethernet, mesh radio and satellite. Whether expansive, open areas or crowded campuses, the amplification power and affordability of this wireless technology make it ideal for military, university, industrial, commercial and community properties. The use of compact, Class-D amplifiers also saves significant space and expense by producing higher sound outputs utilizing less power.

An intuitive software interface allows authorized users to direct pre-recorded or live voice notifications to zoned outdoor areas through the wide area system with the touch of a button. Together with its in-building emergency communications systems, Gamewell-FCI can provide complete zoned paging capabilities for alerting all or specific areas of a complex. The scalability of these in-building and wide area systems also allows for easy expansion or reconfiguration as property spaces change in the future.

An ATI proprietary acoustic design enables Gamewell-FCI's wide area systems to produce code-compliant audible sound and intelligible voice communications within all areas of a site with minimal echo and reflection. Unlike typical public address systems, every component is supervised, all communications are time stamped and FSK (frequency-shift keying) modulation is applied to all transmissions to prevent unauthorized use.
