New comprehensive guide simplifies the selection of spherical bearings from Federal-Mogul DEVA

The document contains a useful section on bearing load calculation, including combined and equivalent loads and fatigue effects, and important installation data, such as tolerances, fitting and assembly guidelines. Many applications such as marine, steel making or construction equipment involve fluctuating heavy loads and hostile environments. So DEVA always recommends customers take advantage of the technical advice available from its specialist application engineers before making a final selection.

“While the guidelines are important in helping customers to an initial selection, in our experience, it is essential to involve the application engineers to ensure the optimum product is specified,” said Engelhardt. “The new catalogue includes a technical questionnaire to capture all the relevant information. When completed on-line, the enquiry is automatically routed to the relevant specialists.”
