A new miniature ball screw line called optiSLITE has been introduced by Steinmeyer. Featuring low friction torque that delivers smoother running and enables greater accuracy, these screws also provide a result that is a superior positioning performance in semiconductor, optics, medical instrument, and metrology applications.

Specifically engineered for the low duty cycle applications of linear actuators, the new ball screw line from Steinmeyer reaches high thrust requirements and also offers long service life, low maintenance and reliability.

Featuring a compact design with a height of only 50mm and length and width of 210mm, the KT210-EDLM precision linear stage system has been released by Steinmeyer. Travel is 100x100mm and includes custom designed low profile direct drive ironless linear motors.

Steinmeyer announced today a new design to the ball return for its UltraSpeed line of precision ball screws. This new design is based on a new ball return system that uses precision ball deflectors to guide the balls into a return channel spanning the whole nut length. The deflectors are precision milled and utilize a complex geometry that minimizes friction thus allowing higher speeds with less wear and better smoothness.

New ULTRAMINIATURE ball screws are available in diameters as small as 3 millimeter with choice of two pitches – 1 millimeter or 0,5 millimeter, making this product ideal for medical applications, such as precise liquid dispensing, among others.

Steinmeyer, Inc. announced a new addition to its extensive line of precision ball screws – a 28 mm diameter screw with 12 mm pitch. Normally our product line is guided by the DIN standard which specifies shaft diameters of 20, 25, 32, 40 mm, etc. This new 28 mm diameter product was designed as a size compatible with the JIS standard. The ball screw is supplied with choice of two nut styles: single nut with flange series 1416; or double nut with flange series 1516. The ball nut is normally provided preloaded for zero backlash. The screw shaft is precision ground and offered in accuracy grades T0 to T5. Threaded length, journal details and overall length are per customer specification.
