The RT2500 combines a 6-axis inertial measurement unit, extensive mathematical processing and a new, super sensitivity GPS card. It fits firmly to the vehicle in minutes using a mounting pole and will capture the vehicle’s motion with high precision. CAN bus and Analogue outputs mean that it can be quickly connected to data acquisition systems; Ethernet and Serial allow it to be connected to PCs and ABD Steering robots.
The RT2500 products have striking advantages over GPS-only solutions. With its combination of advanced inertial sensors and GPS, the RT2500 can provide reliable and continuous measurements even during GPS outages near trees or buildings. The system provides additional measurements like roll, pitch and slip angle which makes it an ideal solution for all vehicle dynamics tests at an affordable price.
OxTS will also show the RT-Range systems which are used to test and develop driver assistance systems. The RT-Range systems output all measurements of a ‘Hunter’ and ‘Target’ vehicle in real-time on CAN bus and PC with high accuracy. The position of the vehicle can be measured with up to 2cm accuracy and speed measurements are accurate to 0.05 km/h which is essential for ADAS testing.
