A wide choice of housing materials is available to suit the media compatibility and ambient temperature requirements for normal use or extreme environments. These include fiberglass reinforced plastics, polypropylene, PPS (polyphenylene sulfide), acetal resin, nylon, brass, and stainless steel. Solid state versions are also available with voltage output.
