Monitor Multiple Temperatures by Text Message!

The AGT Series uses the GSM; the device needs to have a standard SIM card fitted, and it will behave as a mobile or cell phone. Models are available for 1, 2 and 5 temperature sensors, and the dedicated temperature sensors are available with cable lengths of 1, 3, 5 and 10 metres. The temperature range of the device is -30 to +70°C with an accuracy of ±0.5°C.

The device may be programmed using simple text messages or via a PC application, supplied with the instrument. Sensors may be “labelled” to indicate where they are located, and maximum and minimum alarm limits may be set, and the device instructed to send SMS text or email messages when the temperature strays outside the limits and, if desired, when it returns within the limits. The device may be programmed also to “ring out” to up to 10 telephone numbers when the alarm condition is encountered, ie the phone numbers will be called, and Caller ID may be used to indicate that it is the AGT calling. Additionally, the AGT may be interrogated by text message at any time to provide the present temperatures.

Usefully, the AGT has a datalogging facility that will collect temperature data over a user-defined period of time, and then will email the temperature log to a user-designated email address or website. The AGT may be wall mounted, and needs a 5 – 15V DC power supply, though a “universal” AC mains adaptor is supplied with the kit.
