Analytical Technology Inc announces the introduction of its new Q22 Specialty pH/ORP sensors. Water companies and industrial users are under constant pressure to reduce maintenance costs and improve performance. Analytical Technology’s new sensors are supplied as standalone parts allowing for simple sensor replacement without the need for an entire system installation. In addition, the new sensors have been designed for use with all pH/ORP analysers and generic panel meters available on the market.

The new IR4000 Infrared Combustible Gas Detection System from General Monitors is a scalable plant safety solution with voting. The system's IR4000M Multi-Point Monitor can connect up to eight IR400 Point IR Gas Detectors and read their status with one command, one detector at a time. The IR4000M can also calibrate, gas check and zero each IR400 sensor with a single command, reducing the cycle time for routine maintenance.

The PyroCouple M series is a range of high quality, low cost, miniature infrared temperature sensors with separate electronics. They are capable of measuring temperatures in the range -20°C to 500°C and are available with either a current, voltage or simulated thermocouple output.

With the FlexLevel Switch 4401, Baumer’s product segment Process Instrumentation introduces a new hygienic level switch which is suitable even for high temperatures up to 180°C. It can be easily configured on PC via the FlexProgrammer 9701. A bright blue light on top of the switch shows when a media is detected. The indication can be seen easily even if the sensor is mounted on top of a tank.

Temposonics absolute, non-contact M-Series position sensors are now approved for operation in safety-related applications. The sensors meet the requirements of Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL2) to EN 61508 and therewith also the requirements of Performance Level d to EN 13849-1. This means the MTS position measurement systems are approved for safety functions on mobile and stationary machines. Measuring lengths from 50 mm to 2,500 mm are available.

This new sensor system allows vehicle manufacturers to accurately measure the effects of drift pull caused by steering wheel and tire alignment errors. Operators can quickly measure and record drift-pull torque and angle and determine whether the vehicle has been properly aligned after production.
