The new IR4000 Infrared Combustible Gas Detection System from General Monitors is a scalable plant safety solution with voting. The system's IR4000M Multi-Point Monitor can connect up to eight IR400 Point IR Gas Detectors and read their status with one command, one detector at a time. The IR4000M can also calibrate, gas check and zero each IR400 sensor with a single command, reducing the cycle time for routine maintenance.

With the FlexLevel Switch 4401, Baumer’s product segment Process Instrumentation introduces a new hygienic level switch which is suitable even for high temperatures up to 180°C. It can be easily configured on PC via the FlexProgrammer 9701. A bright blue light on top of the switch shows when a media is detected. The indication can be seen easily even if the sensor is mounted on top of a tank.

Position Sensor for SIL2 Applications

Temposonics absolute, non-contact M-Series position sensors are now approved for operation in safety-related applications. The sensors meet the requirements of Safety Integrity Level 2 (SIL2) to EN 61508 and therewith also the requirements of Performance Level d to EN 13849-1. This means the MTS position measurement systems are approved for safety functions on mobile and stationary machines. Measuring lengths from 50 mm to 2,500 mm are available.

ABLE is pleased to announce the availability of the new One Series Ex d, an explosion-proof electronic pressure and temperature switch for Class I, Division 1 (Zone 1) hazardous locations. Based on the One Series 2W, 4W and 8W electronic design, the One Series Ex d 2X, 4X and 8X models provide an explosion-proof enclosure based on ABLE’s popular 120 Series mechanical switches. Using the same “footprint” as the 120 Series and adding programmable digital electronics, the One Series Ex d is ideally suited for the rigors of critical areas classified as harsh and hazardous. The conduit openings, sensor port and mounting holes are in the same locations as the 120 Series for easy installation.
