Piher International Corporation has announced the immediate availability of a new shaft angle rotary sensor - the PST-360 Through-Hole Position Sensor. The PST-360 combines a through-shaft design with 360º absolute position feedback in an extremely thin package.

In-process measurement of the thickness of Silicon wafer substrates and blind via depth is a regular operation in semiconductor manufacturing. Armstrong Optical Ltd of Northampton have added high precision, non contact sensor that allows thickness measurement of Silicon (and other semiconductor substrates) wafers (doped or undoped).

Measurement Specialties, Inc. has just released its miniature piezoelectric accelerometer for high temperature vibration and shock measurements. Operating in shear mode and free of internal performance-limiting adhesives, the Model 7502A sets the standard for stable thermal performance from -73°C to +260°C. Featuring a nominal charge output of 1.8pC/g, this device can directly interface with many existing charge amplifiers or it can be conveniently packaged with Measurements Specialties’ Model 130 in-line charge converter or its Model 161 signal conditioner.

Sensortechnics’ LBA differential pressure sensors are based on thermal mass flow measurement of air or gas through a micro-flow channel integrated within the silicon sensor chip. Due to the highly sensitive measuring principle the LBA sensor achieves excellent resolution and offset stability. The LBA series now offers, ultra-low pressure ranges from 25 Pa Full Scale in addition to the existing 250 Pa and 500 Pa ranges. The LBA sensors perform fully analog on-chip CMOS signal conditioning to allow for linear and temperature compensated outputs with fast response times.
