Banner Engineering Corp. introduces the new R58B Series Expert Registration Mark Sensor, the latest addition to the company’s line of registration mark sensors. The R58B provides the same high-performance detection and outstanding color contrast sensitivity of the R58E, in addition to a simplified teach process. TEACH is performed quickly via a single-click on the TEACH push-button on the sensor or via remote input. TEACH allows the sensor to “learn” the light and dark sensing conditions, based on user inputs, and then can automatically adjust the sensitivity to place the operating threshold midway between threshold for the light and dark condition. By reducing the complexity and increasing the speed of teaching the mark and the background, the R58B reduces operator training and product change over time.

Measurement Specialties, Inc. has now released its OEM temperature probe for hot water boiler applications, the Boiler Probe with Integrated Connector. This probe contains a NTC thermistor soldered to an industry standard 2.5mm connector. It features a fast time response and an operating temperature range from -40°C to +125°C. The durable brass housing provides the popular British Standard Pipe Fitting – (1/8 BSPF) for ease of installation and replacement. Optional threads are available for custom designs.

Endress+Hauser officially opened a new Temperature production facility in Greenwood, Indiana, today. The 12,000 sq ft manufacturing plant will build temperature sensors, thermowells, transmitters, recorders, flow computers, safety barriers, displays and other instrumentation to meet the increasing demand for Endress+Hauser instrumentation in North America and South America.

Meggitt, a leading supplier of complete protection and condition monitoring systems for power generation and industrial applications, has boosted its Vibro-Meter product line with a velocity sensor that works with all condition and health monitoring systems including Meggitt’s own VibroSight™. ETLG Inertial Aerosystems are introducing a new range of high performance triaxial analogue accelerometer modules. Manufactured by Silicon Designs Inc, Model 2445 is a drop in replacement for Model 2440 and can measure full scale acceleration in 3 orthogonal axies from +/-2g to +/-200g. By utilising advanced MEMS technology, operating temperature has been extended from -55 to 125 degrees C, ideal for hostile environments.

NewAge Industries recently completed the installation of a one megawatt (MW) rooftop solar panel system, the sixth largest in all of Pennsylvania. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held Wednesday, June 8, and the system is now in operation supplying half of the plastic tubing manufacturer’s energy needs.
