Variohm’s conductive plastic track and multiple fingered wiper assembly has been designed to maintain full sensing contact even in the most arduous shock and vibration conditions. The mechanical range of the sensor is 112⁰ and its rated operational life is 5 million cycles. Temperature extremes from -25 to +125 ºC with short term peaks to 150 ºC for 15 mins are possible.

Banner Engineering announces its long-range DF-G3 fiber amplifier is now available with analog output. With world-class long range sensing capability, the DF-G3 can sense more than 3 meters (10 ft.) with opposed mode fibers or more than 1 meter (3 ft.) with diffuse mode fibers. The extra power, combined with its new analog output, enables the DF-G3 to provide increased detection reliability for contrast matching, intensity monitoring, web guiding, process monitoring of signal intensity and dense sensing point environments.

Gill Sensors & Controls Limited has announced immediate availability of its new Oil Debris Sensor that provides continuous real-time monitoring of particle contamination in hydraulic and engine oil lubrication systems. The new sensor triggers either an immediate shutdown in cases of large particle build-up, or an early warning indication for needed maintenance - in both cases preventing unexpected downtime.
