Ensuring efficiency in rotary encoders when generating signals

Ensuring efficiency in rotary encoders when generating signals
A new BlueBeam technology has been developed for incremental rotary encoders with optical sensing principle increases efficiency when generating signals. Specially developed blue emitter LEDs, combined with modern and more finely structured sensing chips, allow a more energetic penetration depth of the blue light in the chip. The result is a higher resolution, significantly improved signal amplitude, and a considerably improved signal quality.

New digitised resolver increases efficiency and reduces costs

New digitised resolver increases efficiency and reduces costs
The Encoder Digitised Resolver (ERD) has been introduced by Empire Magnetics, which is suitable for beamline facilities, but can be used for any multi-station automated system with centralised control. The ERD significantly reduces cabling costs through its ability to provide feedback from each station/device into an Ethernet network.

A breath of fresh air for air conditioning this summer

A breath of fresh air for air conditioning this summer
A new PIR – a surface mounted controller that provides auto on/auto off switching of infrared controlled air conditioning (AC) units has been launched by CP Electronics. Battery powered, easy to install and adjustable via a simple push button operation, the intelligent PIR learns the infrared code of an AC unit, overrides the on/off commands and regulates the use based on room occupancy. As a result, significant energy savings can be achieved.

Sensors measure hydraulic flow, temperature and pressure

Sensors measure hydraulic flow, temperature and pressure
A series of new SAE J1939 CAN hydraulic sensors has been announced by Webtec, for OEM mobile and industrial applications where customers require real-time monitoring of hydraulic flow, pressure and temperature around the clock. Designed for closed loop control on high-pressure hydraulic systems, the sensors help users predict imminent hydraulic failure or they can be used to perform diagnostic fault-finding, ultimately helping to prevent or reduce downtime and warranty claims.
