High-tech dust extraction including toxic & explosive materials
Suction extraction equipment for the continuous removal of dust and chip contaminants from production machining and process line operations can be supplied by M Buttkereit Ltd. Their Ringler range of products include both mobile and static mounted equipment, designed for maintaining environmentally safe conditions when cutting or machining graphite, asbestos, plastics, metals and other minerals or materials that generate inflammable, toxic and otherwise hazardous or dangerous LTV residues. With a 99.997% filtration efficiency, including automatic filter cleaning, there is a very low carry-over of contaminants in the exhaust air for optimum health and safety working conditions.
The mobile units include the compact RI 334 model which can be easily moved into locations alongside a machining centre of specific production operation. They are fitted with local control panels and equipped with an absolute filter and 501 collector with a drive-out capability for ease of emptying.

A maximum vacuum pressure of 27-32 kPa is generated for extraction, operating from a 400V power supply and 320-520 Nm3/h air supply rate. An Ex rated security model is also available for operation with particularly dangerous carcinogenic dusts in Zone 21/22 (31) minimum ignition energy >1 mJ, device groupII, 3D category, toxic materials and dusts.

Static (floor mounted) collector units are also available, suitable for machine shop operation servicing multiple machines. The RE 201 model has a 14 m2 filter and can provide a medium rated 5 kPa vacuum pressure with a maximum air supply rate of 2800 Nm3/h. This robustly designed unit features sound insulation with electrical filter cleaning and integrated impingement zone, and can also be equipped with optional discharge systems.

All the extraction units are provided with appropriate pipework systems for the installation. Highly efficient spindle suction systems can be fitted, with the dust collection heads moving in conjunction with the cutting spindle for maximum extraction efficiency. In addition, table extraction can be customised to suit both the table configuration and the work-in-hand requirements. Otherwise a machining operation can be fully enclosed, with suction equipment provided to suit the prevailing operational requirements. A hand suction hose can also be fitted for machine clean-down operations when all cutting processes have been completed.

Two-stage filtration is provided with pleated fabric bag filters which are washable and re-useable. Either hand-operated or automatically timed machine shaker filter element cleaning can be provided, together with reversed air pulse jet removal of dust and contaminants from the outer surface. Dust is collected in removable wheeled containers for easy disposal, while sound proofing to a 70 dB(A) level is also provided.
