Appointed as main contractor by Anglian Water, Börger’s supply and installation has also included integration into existing control panels, as well as the removal of old equipment.
Efficiently transferring high volumes of imported sludge, Börger’s Pumps are already proving a key addition to one of the UK’s most demanding WWTWs, as Flag Fen’s Site Supervisor, Simon Pavitt explains:
“This can sometimes be a challenging site. It requires highly effective and reliable equipment to treat over 54,000 cubic metres of waste each day from more than a quarter-of-a-million people”.
He added: “The large sludge lanes at Flag Fen can make it quite a difficult duty, but Börger’s Pumps (operating at 5-Bar) have proved a good investment and are very easy to maintain”.
This latest installation follows Börger’s work for Anglian Water at Caister-on-Sea sewage treatment works, where the introduction of new gravity belt feed pumps means that all sludge processing at the site is now handled by Börger pumps.
