Börger’s pumps enjoy stay at Sandy Balls Holiday Centre
Pumps and macerators made by Börger are successfully handling wastewater at the highly renowned Sandy Balls Holiday Centre in the New Forest National Park.
Keen to maintain its reputation for sustainability of operations and conservation of the rich natural environment, the Centre introduced Börger’s pumps and Multicrusher macerators to replace equipment that was regularly getting blocked up and also cumbersome to repair and service.
“The above-ground Börger pumps and macerators are very easy to get at,” said Sandy Balls Holiday Centre’s Maintenance Manager, Paul Lockey.
“But in three years we’ve only ever had to conduct routine wear and tear work because the Börger machines have never let us down”.
Following the suction lift of sewage, the Börger Multicrushers macerate the sewage with their twin rotating knife blades. Designed for simple and effective operation, the Multicrusher simultaneously homogenizes sewage in preparation for the wastewater treatment process.

Set in 120 acres of parks and woodland, Sandy Balls Holiday Centre has welcomed generations of families and friends since it opened in the 1920’s.
A recent recipient of the prestigious David Bellamy Conservation Award of Special Distinction, Sandy Balls Holiday Centre has been highly commended for its long term commitment to lessen its our impact on the environment.
