Dedicated to developing products for the industrial automation sector, MET Advanced Technology Systems (MET) and its recent project involved development of a polyurethane system for the manufacture of refrigerators. To achieve the process flexibility they sought, it found a solution in power management company Eaton’s products and technical support.

They first came into commercial use in the 1970s, and ever since Coriolis flowmeters have been developed and refined to meet a growing number of applications across a wide range of industries. However, where fluid density is not required, there is an alternative that offers all of the accuracy of Coriolis as well as addressing many of its substantial drawbacks.

  A new range of intelligent pump controllers have been introduced by Bosch Rexroth, which offer unrivalled performance and flexibility as well as readiness for Industry 4.0, across a broad spectrum of applications, both with and without control cabinets.

A durable solution to safely lock out gate valves has been developed by Brady, with diameters ranging from 3-18”. The new Collapsible Gate Valve Lockout also features a tri-folding system to allow for easy storage.

Hydraulic systems should have an operating life of decades, permitting that they are correctly designed, installed and maintained. Even in the harshest environments, such as steel production and offshore, you’ll probably find pumps and manifolds which were first installed before half your workforce were born. With such pressures placed on these systems it’s vital that they are manufactured to the highest of standards and tested for suitability.

This year’s IPC APEX EXPO, scheduled to take place 14th-16th February at the San Diego Convention Center in California, will see Techcon Systems exhibiting in booth 1500. The Techcon team will demonstrate the new TS8100 Series Positive Displacement PC Pump with the TS500R-PC, along with its TSR2000 Bench Top Robot Series.
