Video of the Week – xiros® plastic ball bearings Lubricant and maintenance free with a low coefficient of friction
xiros® plastic ball bearings from polymer specialist igus® are single row grooved ball bearings. Simple in design they consist of just four components – the inner ring, outer ring, the cage and the balls – all made of the standard igus materials, making them lubricant and maintenance free, long lasting and with a low coefficient of friction.

Unlike the traditional metallic ball bearings, they work entirely without lubrication and are resistant to chemicals, heat and dirt. This makes them suitable for many applications as they are not dependant on rotary speeds or loads. They are equally well-suited for use in a wide variety of industries, ranging from food, medical, packaging, and textiles to chemical, cleanroom, electronics and office technology.
