Video of the Week – New Additions to Slewing Ring Bearing Range

The toothed outer ring options is available in all the standard PRT slewing ring sizes, from 30mm to 300mm diameter. For each size, four tooth patterns are available: belt profiles AT10, T10 and HTD8M and spur gear to DIN3967. The out ring of the standard PRT slewing ring is replaced by this toothed ring, allowing easy fitting and maintenance-free operation.

The second development is a new low cost slewing ring made of only four parts. This is currently offered in 80mm diameter and is designed for applications where cost reduction is the primary factor – typical examples include the furniture industry or display advertising systems.

Both of these new products build upon the standard slewing ring bearing technology. The igus polymer slewing ring tackles the problems previously only solved by conventional ball bearings.
