NSK ESTABLISHES NEW PRODUCTION SUBSIDIARY TO MEET GROWTH FOR PRECISION PRODUCTS IN CHINA & OTHER EMERGING ECONOMIES

Located in Shenyang City, Liaoning Province, China, Shenyang NSK Precision Co, Ltd. is due to start operating in April 2010. The plant extends to 70,000 m2, with an additional area for expansion of 36,000 m2 (provisional). Initially it will house 600 employees; all involved in the manufacture of NSK Precision products.

Commenting upon the new investment, an NSK spokesperson said: “We are striving to implement global sales expansion through active deployment to target industries and regions, and by employing product strategies that match the requirements of each demand area. In addition, by continuing measures to improve productivity, such as lowering overall lead times, we will further advance the capability of our production structure to respond quickly and flexibly to fluctuations in demand.”

Precision Machinery and Parts – a key NSK business area.

Precision Machinery and Parts is one of NSK’s three key business areas, along with Industrial Machinery Bearings and Automotive Products. Precision products address the needs of advanced manufacturing facilities, such as semi-conductor and liquid crystal production equipment, machine tools, industrial robots, testing machines, moulding machines, and many more.
