Winkel has important benefits over its few competitors. It is ideal for heavy-duty applications that have very high radial and axial loads. Indeed, individual linear/rotary bearings can sustain loads of up to 140kN. Equally robust are the ‘I’ and ‘C’ section rails available in stocked lengths of up to 12m and easily butted for unlimited travel. The rails themselves have up to 30% higher load capacity than similar rail systems due to Winkel’s use of special high yield steel. Winkel rails can also be fine straightened for superior accuracy.
For corrosion resistance, stainless steel rails and bearings are available ex-stock or alternatively specialist coatings can be applied to Winkel’s standard components.
This modular system provides up to 18,000 permutations and Hepco Winkel prides itself on having one of the widest stocked ranges of combined bearing and rails available. From this HepcoMotion® can confidently provide a heavy load system to suit any task. New to the range are combined bearings for high temperatures up to 250°C. Other standard offerings include the Speed and Silent and Speed and Force bearing ranges whose special composite coatings allow increased speed and quieter travel.
HepcoMotion® undertakes any machining that may be required to customer drawings and can supply both ‘I’ and ‘C’ sections to order. Indeed the company’s fabrication services can provide anything from a sub-assembly through to a complete turnkey system. However, for those requiring Winkel components for own-assembly, the range offers both ex-stock availability and fast delivery.
