In common with all products in the HepcoMotion® linear motion range the Bishop- Wisecarver (DMT) DualVee Motion Technology® single edge slide system is also subject to continuous development. Thanks to new bearing design and tighter manufacturing tolerance the wheel capacity on this system is now increased by 40%. The range also has several new wheel and track options to save installation time and costs.

ZF Industrial’s Servoplan® PG precision grade planetary gearboxes are available in the UK from Heason Technology Limited. Aimed at demanding servomotor drive applications, with ratios between 3:1 and 100:1 and output torques from 25 to 3000 Nm, the low backlash German manufactured range is fully interchangeable with other major brand servo gearboxes. Steinmeyer, Inc. announced a new high precision micro manipulator stage MT 105-50-LM. Manufactured from high strength anodized aluminum, the standard table offers a travel of 50 mm and offers a positional accuracy of 1µm (micrometer), straightness/flatness runout of +/- 1µm and repeatability of +/- 0.2 µm. With a sleek low profile design, it has a footprint of 105 mm x 151 mm, height of 25 mm and weighs only 1.0 kg. Features include: preloaded cross roller bearings, fixed stops and incremental linear encoder with 0.1 µm resolution. This product can be provided as a XY stage without adapter plate and can also be configured as a XYZ system with an optional bracket.

Adjustable clearance, lubrication-free and resistance to contamination are today’s current trends in linear technology. Keeping in line with these, the plain bearing expert igus® have developed a new DryLin® W linear guide with a turn-to-fit function for manual setting of the clearance. The name speaks for itself. The new linear unit was first shown at Motek 2008 and is currently being launched in the UK.
