“We saw a definite uplift in visitors to the stand from previous years, showing that the industry is holding up well. Productronica was a great way to meet potential customers as well as many of our existing clients and giving us the opportunity to introduce a number of new products to the market.
“The show also gave Electrolube the opportunity to share knowledge with visitors. Experts from Electrolube’s R & D department joined DIMA, manufacturers of tools and machines for the electronic industry, to offer advice and information on selective conformal coating, answering all coating related questions. Overall Productronica was a very positive experience for Electrolube.”
The product that saw the greatest amount of interest was the SC range. SC3001 is a silicone resin, developed specifically to meet the needs of the LED industry. Previously only available in Australia and China, the product was officially launched to the rest of the world at Productronica, along with the ‘2000’ silicone resin range which includes SC2001, a general potting and encapsulating compound, SC2001FD a fast cure compound and SC2003 a thixotropic compound.
Other products launched at the show included silver loaded epoxy resin, ESLE-10 and underfill resin ES501. ESLE-10 is a one part silver loaded epoxy resin used for conductive bonding, offering excellent mechanical bonds and electrical conductivity making it suitable for a number of applications including prototype and repair.
Unlike many other resins, ESLE-10 is a single part system that has an excellent adhesion to a number of substrates and can be used as a conductive bond between solder free surface mount connections, solder repairs, static discharge and grounding or general conductive adhesions.
Resin Remover Solvent (RRS) and Conformal Coating Remover Gel (CCRG) was also introduced to the market, which have been developed by Electrolube’s experts to still work effectively without the use of the dichloromethane, making them comply with REACH regulations and adding to Electrolube’s ‘green credentials’ with their improved environmental properties.
Also featuring on the stand was FREH Freezer, a powerful refrigerant, and the EADH Air Duster both developed without the use of harmful gasses. Both products contain a novel hydrofluorocarbon propellant with improved environmental properties. The propellant used in alternative products is usually HFC-134a or a blend thereof; switching to the propellant used in FREH and EADH can reduce the equivalent CO2 emissions by >99.5%*. Although designed to be ‘green’, the innovative new products still work effectively without compromising their properties.
With an already impressive range of products and the latest additions to the portfolio, visitors to Productronica were given an extensive choice in innovative resins, contact lubricants, cleaning solutions, conformal coatings, thermal management and maintenance and service aids from Electrolube.
