Soldering machine presented at IPC increases offering
Updating its portfolio, Altus Group has added the latest innovation from Rehm to its range, and it was all presented at the recent IPC Apex Expo in the USA. Rehm unveiled their latest convection soldering machine with vacuum, the VisionXP+ Vac, to visitors of the Expo. The new vacuum unit allows void-free convection soldering in a single process. The system has had a number of new updates including environmental and energy efficiency developments.

Some nanoparticles have the tendency to agglomerate or cluster into denser masses which can lead to homogeneity and performance issues in their subsequent use. Existing methodologies to de-agglomerate them do not always produce uniform results, or can be invasive and wasteful.

Bicycle aftermarket component manufacturer, Hope Technology was based on a quest to make mountain biking safer by developing an alternative to cantilever brakes. To meet demand, the Barnoldswick factory in Lancashire operates around the clock. Even so, by mid-2015 one of the 70 CNC machine tools on the shop floor, a BySprint CO2 laser cutting machine from Bystronic UK, was struggling to keep up.

A strong performer in ‘The Forrester Wave: Predictive Analytics And Machine Learning Solutions, Q1 2017’ has been named, Dataiku, the maker of the collaborative data science software. The report by Forrester Research included 14 of the most significant vendors in Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning (PAML) solutions and evaluated them against 23 criteria grouped by current offering, strategy, and market presence.

A new range of modular heavy-duty connectors has been introduced by Bosch Rexroth, bringing even greater flexibility to the use of machine frames made from aluminium strut profiles. Complementing Bosch Rexroth’s extensive existing line-up, the 180x180 dynamic load connectors have undergone extensive testing by the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft for the safe absorption of both high static and dynamic loads.
