New fast surface mounter provides space-saving qualities
The inclusion of a new surface mounter from Yamaha has been announced by Altus Group. YSM10 is a compact, high-speed model which also boasts space-saving qualities. It offers a number of benefits called the 'Three-One' concept which includes a combination of a mounting speed, a one-head-solution, which does not require replacement, and an integration of the three models of the YS12 type into one platform.
Tony Sweetman, Sales Manager at Altus said: “We have already installed many of Yamaha’s YS12 machines throughout the UK and Ireland and so this new innovative model will be a welcome addition.
“Not only does the YS10 combine the benefit of the ‘Three-One’ concept, but the new model has a high-speed general purpose head and a new generation servo system creating a high-class model with the latest technology.
“What makes it even more superior is the fact that the innovative specification of the three YS12 series models are integrated within the YS10. This means it combines the flexibility and mobility of the compact high-speed modular YS12; the partly simplified version of the compact economy-modular YS12P, and the highly-versatile compact modular YS12F.”
The platform also automatically creates and tracks component data, Smart Recognition for easily creating component data from complicated shapes, and Pickup MACS system for automatic correction of the component pickup position.
