The COMSOL Conference offers a broad spectrum of technical presentations from industry and research in the area of multiphysics simulations. Furthermore the conference provides various mini courses and the possibility of practical exercises with COMSOL Multiphysics. Last year the European COMSOL Conference attracted more than 400 participants to Ludwigsburg, Germany.

Wenger Engineering is a certified COMSOL consultant since several years and has successfully executed several projects with COMSOL Multiphysics for many renowned customers. Among the projects was a simulation of heat exchangers, the optimization of component geometries, and the simulation of a cooling system of lithium-ion batteries. In addition to the company’s booth in the accompanying trade show, Wenger Engineering contributes to the conference program with the paper “Using FEA simulation to expand conventional ampacity calculation methods”. The presentation describes the material optimized design of high voltage cables by an accurate ampacity simulation.
