Test your abilities at the Sercos booth at Hannover Fair 2015

Sercos International will present new products, innovative technologies and updates re safety next to the robotic demo from Schneider Electric at its joint booth at Hannover Fair from April 13 to April 17 in hall 9, booth G28.

The robotic solution consists of a fully stainless-steel PacDrive P4-robot and an MAXR gantry robot. Both are part of Schneider Electric’s line of Robotics products. The 3-axis P4 delta robot sets the gaming pieces while the 3-axis portal moves the board with its additional rotary axis. To perform this task, the P4 picker has to synchronize with four mechanically coupled axes (3 x linear, 1 x rotary). After each automatic move by the robot, the visitor sets his gaming piece using the human-machine interface. This allows the visitor to play an active role in the game and in the robot’s actions.

A Magelis handheld touch panel serves as the operational interface.

All robot axes are driven by Lexium motors, controlled by servo drives from the Lexium 62 multi-axis servo solution of PacDrive 3. The entire demo machine is controlled by a PacDrive LMC 600 controller, which communicates with the servo drives via the Sercos automation bus.

Visitors to the Sercos joint booth are invited to test their abilities against the robotic solution!

Also on display will be a number of new products such as drives, safety, network components and more.

The blended infrastructure conceptual approach completes the user organizsation’s presence at Hannover Fair.

This approach simplifies the integration of machinery in manufacturing. True to the slogan "Fewer cables, less complexity, easier machine integration," Sercos International developed this approach in collaboration with ODVA and the OPC Foundation. A common network infrastructure where Sercos telegrams, CIP messages and TCP/IP telegrams run on one single cable allows mechanical engineers and users to reduce the costs and complexity involved in machine integration. At the same time, they are able to continue using their preferred product suppliers and automation devices and can benefit from more than 1,000 connection options.
