Offshore Europe 2009 Exhibition gives ‘special status’ to oil & gas industry work
The Angle Ring Company Ltd are exhibiting on stand number 1266, located in Hall 3 – Blue Zone, at the Offshore Europe 2009 oil and gas conference and exhibition being held in Aberdeen during 8th – 11th September.
The company specialise in sub-contract bending of pipework and metal sections utilising a variety of production techniques and they will be exhibiting samples of induction bending of larger pipework, tube manipulation (smaller O/D sizes) and heavy plate rolling.

They have an established reputation for technically superior bending, producing high quality, dimensionally stable results to close working tolerances. Where work is designated for oil and gas related installations, Angle Ring will apply a ‘special status’ commitment ensuring their compliance with all JIT or on-site delivery requirements. Other industries where accuracy and uniformity are important are also supplied such as petrochemicals (pipelines), power generation (steam lines) including nuclear, wind farms (J tubes), construction and architecture, defence (vehicle armour plating) and a wide range of general engineering.

The Angle Ring cold rolling facilities are extensive, to the extent that every ‘open’ section produced by Corus, or indeed any mill throughout Europe, can be curved with their rolling methods. This covers a wide range of steels and even the more exotic metals together with closed sections. Where the cold bending of larger diameter sections becomes impractical due to the stresses induced, then Angle Ring can provide induction heating capacity. This covers pipes from 88.9mm up to 915mm O/D sizes and wall thicknesses up to 50mm, together with the entire range of RHS, SHS and CHS sections up to lengths of 30 metres.

These services are complemented with pipe forming in standard and non-standard sizes in lengths up to 10 metres. These can be supplied in a range of materials to ASTM specifications with full QA support and fully welded as required. Plate rolling of steel can also be accommodated up to 3050mm sheet size and a maximum 200mm thickness for the production of heavy cylinders. The manufacture of cylinders, box sections and other non-standard closed section shapes can be undertaken from materials 10 metres in length x 25mm thickness, including formed and welded stainless steel, aluminium and titanium. With a 1500 tonne horizontal brake press on site, Angle Ring can also undertake the straightening of customers pipework which does not conform to necessary standards.

Tube manipulation facilities for diameters from 16 up to 139.7mm diameter can also be provided for many and varied applications not only in the process industries, but as general support services throughout industry.
