Morgan AM&T sponsors world gathering of industry experts at Carbon 2011, Shanghai

‘Nice Carbon, Nice Life’ is the theme for Carbon2011 which takes place in Shanghai 24-29 July 2011 (Carbon2011)at East China University of Science and Technology in Shanghai.

The Annual World Conference on Carbon, which is held on the American, Asian, and European continents alternately since 2000, is a unique chance for academics and industry experts involved in the science and technology of carbon materials and related fields to assemble and discuss their current research.

According to EM Chong China President of Morgan AM&T the rationale for joining forces with Carbon 2011 as sponsor is compelling: ”As a driving force in the development of carbon technologies it makes perfect sense that Morgan AM&T sponsor this prestigious global gathering.

“Our track record in funding research includes working with the Universities of Manchester and Sussex on graphene, in a team which includes Kostya Novoselov, one of the two winners of the 2010 Nobel Prize in Physics. This is in addition to our role in guiding a new collaborative research project with the University of Cambridge to develop groundbreaking nanotechnology opportunities, and a programme with the University of Leeds looking at applications of carbon nanomaterials; some of which will be presented at Carbon 2011.

East China University of Science and Technology, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology, and Institute of Coal Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, co-host the Carbon2011 under the guidance the Asian Association of Carbon Groups.
