FLUIDON GmbH announced its participation to this year’s European HyperWorks Technology Conference, Altair’s conference for Enterprise Simulation, as a Gold Sponsor. Based on the cooperation between FLUIDON and Altair, which was initiated early this year, and the global availability of the DSHplus, FLUIDON’s software environment for mechatronic system design, Altair’s broad customer base can now also benefit from the long-term experience of the engineering service provider FLUIDON. The participation as a Gold Sponsor underlines the close partnership between the companies and is a direct result from the strong growing Altair and FLUIDON customer interest in integrated solutions for mechatronic simulation tasks.
The conference presentation of Dr. Heiko Baum, managing director FLUIDON GmbH, covers the complex interaction of different technical disciplines in mechatronic systems and is titled:
CAE Driven Design of Forging Presses. Based on an example of a manufacturing machine, it will show how a CAE driven development process can be realized by cross-linking the involved simulation tools, considering the interdependency of the machine controller development, controls and mechanics. Having defined those constrains, the impact of different system configurations can be analyzed. Dr. Baum’s presentation will be held on November 3rd in the afternoon.

Additionally FLUIDON will showcase its development tool DSHplus and the possibilities of co-simulation with HyperWorks, in the technical showcase of this year’s European HTC. DSHplus, in combination with DSHplus-STC, offers a versatile and comfortable interface platform, which allows the exchange of models between different engineering tools for mechatronics.

FLUIDON is the competence partner for all those who are working on the development of innovative mechatronic systems, said Dr. Heiko Baum, managing director FLUIDON. We are looking forward to presenting our solutions at this year’s European HTC in Ludwigsburg. Combining our simulation environment DSHplus and Altair’s HyperWorks Suite, enables developers to find even better solutions for multidisciplinary mechatronic simulation tasks. Furthermore engineers, that implement our tools, can rely on our long-term experience in engineering projects, added Dr. Baum.

Dr. Heiko Baum will furthermore present a paper at the Aachener Kolloquium, taking place at the Eurogress Aachen on October 5th - 7th, 2009. The presentation Simulation of Flexible Hose Lines for Power Steering and Active Chassis Application demonstrates the target-oriented development and optimization of hose lines in power steering and active chassis applications and will take place on October 6th at 11:00 am.
