Engineering-grade additive manufacturing solutions for Factory Floor

Showcasing its engineering-grade additive manufacturing solutions for all budgets and production requirements at MACH 2018, 3D Systems will be at stand H7-345, from 9th to 13th at the NEC, Birmingham. Covering a full range of prototyping and manufacturing applications, the 3D Systems stand will feature end-to-end solutions for plastics and metal fabrication.

A world exclusive will be the premiere of the ProX SLS 6100 Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) production 3D printer. Designed for the manufacturing floor, the ProX SLS 6100 produces ready‑to-use functional parts and complete assemblies for a variety of aerospace, automotive, patient specific medical devices, fashion accessories, and mobile device use cases. With a range of production-grade nylon materials from which to choose, it brings versatility to applications from functional prototyping to direct 3D production.

A high‑performance metal additive manufacturing system, the ProX DMP 320 features a build volume of 275x275x420mm. Considered as the heavy-duty alternative to traditional metal manufacturing processes, this Direct Metal Printing (DMP) solution produces very dense and pure metal parts with reduced waste, shorter set-up times and higher throughput.

Figure 4 is the next-generation, high-speed Stereolithography (SLA) system manufacturing parts in hybrid materials that offer toughness, durability, biocompatibility, high temperature deflection, and elastomeric properties.

Visitors to the stand will also see the FabPro 1000, an affordable Digital Light Processing (DLP) 3D printer that delivers parts with smooth SLA surface quality. The FabPro 1000 raises the bar for professional desktop 3D printing, producing high-quality parts quickly and easily for a variety of engineering and jewellery applications.

Throughout the event, 3D Systems will display its design and engineering software, including 3DXpert for metal additive manufacturing and GibbsCAM for CNC manufacturing.

“MACH is one of the industry’s premiere events for demonstrating the latest advances in manufacturing innovation,” said Nicole Clement, VP Marketing, Europe, 3D Systems. “We are pleased to be bringing what we feel is the industry’s most complete portfolio of additive manufacturing solutions to produce everything from concept models to test fit, form and function – to time-saving master pattern and tooling moulds for applications such as investment casting – to final end use production parts in durable metal and plastic materials. The breadth of our solutions is matched by their depth with 3D Systems offering a full slate of software products for subtractive and additive manufacturing applications, as well as a complete selection of plastic and metal materials.”
