NKE will exhibit standard and special bearings for demanding applications such as mechanical and electrical drive systems, pumps and compressors as well as agricultural machinery, at Motion, Drive & Automation 2017 in Hannover, Germany.
Moreover, NKE will present ‘Advanced Engineering’, a development engineering department where special bearing solutions are being developed in close cooperation with the customers.
Bearings are highly important components and must meet extremely demanding specifications. For applications such as agricultural machines, mechanical and electrical drive systems, pumps and compressors, but also rail vehicles and wind power plants, NKE offers bearing types such as cylindrical roller bearings, spherical and taper roller bearings, angular contact bearings, deep groove ball bearings, four point contact ball bearings as well as custom-made special bearings. All bearings are subject to stringent quality requirements and are tested using modern inspection and measurement procedures. One of NKE’s major strengths is its range of single row cylindrical roller bearings. This bearing type features optimum operational reliability and maximum cost effectiveness. With very short lead times, NKE produces at its plant in Steyr more than 3,000 different variants for various applications.
Special bearings are developed in close cooperation with the customers. They profit from the development engineering department ‘Advanced Engineering’, where technological approaches from research and development and practical experience from application engineering are united. The department was recently created in the framework of NKE’s cooperation with Fersa Bearings, a Spanish bearing manufacturer specialised in the automotive sector. ‘Advanced Engineering’ operates for the whole group which now comprises three production sites, five distribution centres and three research and development locations. In addition to product development and application engineering, NKE offers customers comprehensive services including technical calculations, support in obtaining certifications, and training courses.
