With the traceability software from Pryor, you can track marked components along the production line – and use these metrics to boost efficiency. With this in mind, Pryor’s mission at this year’s MACH exhibition is to help companies take their first steps into Industry 4.0 – by marking and tracking components through the production process.

This year at the MACH exhibition taking place 9-13th April in NEC Birmingham NCMT will be showcasing a range of prismatic machining, turning and grinding centres from Okuma. All Okuma machines are sold and serviced exclusively in the UK and Ireland by NCMT, and can be found on stand H19-640 at MACH 2018.

At this year’s Smart Industry Expo, HARTING is demonstrating its range of automation solutions for improving the efficiency of manufacturing logistic processes based on the concepts of Integrated Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things (IoT) and will be on stand S244. HARTING’s approach to smart manufacturing is based on the addition of intelligence to manufacturing processes with the aim of achieving a high level of connectivity, visibility, awareness, and adaptability at all stages in the supply chain. 

At this year’s MACH show, Roemheld will introduce a new range of wedge clamping elements with patented safety bolts designed to attach a die set to the table and ram of a power press securely, regardless of whether the tool edges are straight or angled. A positive locking action allows even a heavy upper die to remain in place during maintenance or if the clamping pressure drops.

Seeq has announced that Pioneer Resources, Devon Energy, and Fisher Valves will present next week at the 22nd ARC Industry Forum on their use of Seeq to improve business and production outcomes. Seeq applications build on machine learning and big data technologies to speed the time to insight with diagnostic, descriptive, and predictive analytics. The presentations are typical of the benefits Seeq customers are realising in the oil & gas, power, pharmaceutical, chemical, energy, mining, food and beverage, and other process industries.

Designed around the needs of manufacturing in all industry sectors, the extensive Elesa range of standard machine elements will be on display at the 2018 MACH Exhibition, taking place on 9th–13th April at NEC Birmingham. Featured on the Elesa stand – Hall 6, No. 72 - will be their IP65-7 direct dial digital position indicators with electronic mechanism for easy set up and readout.

Cast your minds back to mid-2017, the first HEIDENHAIN milling control to be made available with a touch-screen was the TNC 620 mid-range CNC system, launched in the UK. It will be on show for the first time at MACH 2018 along with a similar, next-generation version of the top-end TNC 640 control, hitherto unannounced.

The online visitor registration is now officially open for Subcon, the defining event in the manufacturing supply chain calendar, which takes place 5th-7th June 2018 at the NEC in Birmingham. More than 4,500 visitors from aerospace, automotive, defence, electronics, energy, materials, oil and gas and rail sectors will attend Subcon this year to do business with over 400 exhibitors.
