The Society of Operations Engineers (SOE), the professional engineering membership organisation, has announced its support for Maintec, which will take place at the NEC, Birmingham, 6–7th November 2018. The SOE provides education, training, study and research, with the emphasis on promoting best practice and compliance for the advancement of operations engineering. It has direct influence over its three sectors – road transport, plant and engineer surveying – on matters of policy, and supports its 17,000 members with career progression and professional development.

Advanced and precision engineers seeking metal heat treatment and PVD coatings will see a much expanded offering from Wallwork Group on stand Q6 at the Advanced Engineering 2018 show. A new Newcastle facility is now fully integrated into the group. Cambridge has increased vacuum brazing capacity with an additional furnace and gained further Rolls-Royce accreditations. While at Birmingham more Aluminium processing has been added.

Range of high tech chains offered to Russian food manufacturers
Exhibiting at this year’s Agroprodmash 2018, chain maker Tsubaki aims to leave an impression at probably the most important industry event for Russian food manufacturers. Staged at the Expocentre Pavilions in Moscow between 8th and 12th October, Tsubaki will be based on Stand 82D90 in Pavilion 8, Hall 2, second level, where it will exhibit sample chains from its Neptune, Lambda and stainless steel ranges. It will also show specialist chains such as: vacuum wrapper chain, gripper chain, milk carton chain and PC chain.
