Taking place on Tuesday 18th May in Runcorn, Cheshire, the event is free to anyone with an interest in pumps and pumping including pump users, manufacturers and suppliers of components or services. The conference will include presentations from some of the industry’s leading experts. Topics include:
* Optimising pump systems – the benefits, drivers and challenges
* An end users approach to optimising pump systems
* The generic factors affecting pump system optimisation
* The use of variable speed drives to optimise pumping
* A case history detailing a pumping station upgrade
* General improvements to pumps and systems
The popular ‘Back to Basics’ training sessions is being run again this year. Tickets for these sessions will be provided on a first come first served basis during registration. This year’s possible topics include:
* Stainless steel and the water industry
* Asset maintenance strategies
* The seven deadly sins of pumping? Common faults with pump installations
New this year is a small breakout session aimed at power industry engineers. A short programme of presentations is being put together based on power station inspection and maintenance. Details will be finalised near to the event.
An exhibition will run in parallel with the conference with around 60 companies promoting their products and services for the pump industry.
