Range of closed-loop, smart BLDC motors

With the PD-1670 we launch our first BLDC Servo PANdrive with field oriented control,” claimed Michael Randt. “The compact drive enables machine builders to implement rapid, precise and efficient positioning in no time.”

Suitable for lab automation, factory automation, manufacturing, robotics, and CNC applications, the BLDC PANdrive comes with two firmware options; TMCL and CANopen. Parameters can be permanently stored on the board itself and the PANdrive takes care of all time-critical operations such as ramp calculations itself, ensuring low communication traffic.

The full mechatronic solution includes state of the art field oriented motor control and powerful and efficient drivers. A Hall based rotary feedback system makes it reliable and durable. Equipped with industry standard protocols, it is easily integrated in PLC environments or in standalone applications. The drive is designed to work with a 24V power supply.

Available from March through Trinamic’s distribution channels, the PD42-x-1670 comes in three different lengths, each having 42mm flange size brushless motors.
