Partnership strengthens Large Drives network

Through a strategic partnership with Indrico, Siemens has extended its Partner network across the UK. The partnership sees the distributor appointed as a UK Drives Technical Partner for its Large Drives products and solutions. This new partnership means Indrico will provide sales and technical support to end users and OEMs alike in the industrial drives market, with a particular emphasis on higher power SINAMICS low voltage variable speed drives, both AC and DC.

Wherever possible, Indrico will look to provide the full drive train, capitalising on Siemens’ well established Integrated Drive Systems initiative which, offers significant optimisation possibilities when combining SINAMICS drives with the wide portfolio of Siemens’ motors, couplings and gearboxes.

Simon Grant, Sales Director at Indrico, commented: “Our appointment as a Siemens Drives Technical Partner for its Large Drives products and solutions, will enable us to better serve our customers across industry by further extending our offering to include SINAMICS drives. For us to continue to serve our customers and support their specific business needs, it is vital we continually provide the widest choice of high quality technologies, and this latest partnership helps us deliver even more competitive and effective solutions for industry.”

Julijana Ristov, Business Manager at Siemens UK & Ireland, added: “The appointment of Indrico as a Drives Technical Partner is significant to Siemens. It means we have an even wider network across the UK of drives competent partners who, for the first time, hold significant stock of low voltage industrial SINAMICS drives to ratings up to 560kW including G120P, G130 and DCM chassis-built product. Furthermore, Indrico offers in-house technical support for these products, which is a significant addition to our own sales and support resource.”

Siemens Large Drives develops, manufactures, and markets industry-specific products and solutions, including LV and MV converters and motors for high power drive systems and provides a wide range of after-sales lifecycle services.

Through its Partner Program, Siemens works closely with a number of different networks of partners, all of which have to meet certain high standards to gain verification in the programme. The Partner Program enables end users and OEMs to access a uniform global standard of expertise in providing products and solutions for automation and drive technology requirements. The selected partners provide future-oriented, high quality solutions to add value and improve competitive advantage for all industry sectors.
